Synopsis: This video is in black and white. In the beginning of it, it shows a hallway which fades until you can see a close-up
on Sophie's face. Sophie keeps singing until you can see the whole band playing. It ends the same way it begins, with the hallway which fades
until you see Sophie's face.
Extras: The album's cover, theaudience was taken from this video.
IF YOU CAN'T DO IT WHEN YOU'RE YOUNG; WHEN CAN YOU DO IT?
Album: theaudience
Director: Robin Bextor
First aired: Feb/1998
Synopsis: It starts showing a doll's house and you can see Sophie through its window. You can also see a mobile moving and then
Sophie appears, she starts singing and later you can see all the band members. They are in some kind of child's room and you can see a little train,
cars, dolls. Sophie gets a lot of close-ups in this video as well. Then you see a crystal ball, the room gets dark and instead of Sophie,
you see a girl playing the guitar. Soon, Sophie reappears playing her famous pink guitar. Then, they're back in the room and then the room gets
dark again (following the melody of the song, when it gets dark, the song gets rockier). It ends showing the little train running, the mobile moving and
then Sophie's face.
Extras: Sophie's younger sister, Martha Rose, actually is the little girl playing the guitar, who's a younger version of Sophie
herself.
A PESSIMIST IS NEVER DISAPPO-INTED
Album: theaudience
Director: Robin Bextor
First aired: Apr/1998
Synopsis: It shows the band in some kind of party that is over, but they're still playing. Sophie is shown inside a
car, passing through a brige, then a tunel and the car keeps going. Next, Sophie is seen on a balcony and then she's seen inside the car again.
Back to the place, it's shown a person who is actually watching them playing, when the face of this person is shown, we can see that it's Sophie
herself who's watching the band, seeming quite bored. So it's like Sophie plays two different people in this video.
Extras: Probably the most famous video and song by theaudience.
I KNOW ENOUGH (I DON'T GET E-NOUGH)
Album: theaudience
Director: Robin Bextor
First aired: Jul/1998
Synopsis: The last video by theaudience shows Sophie walking around [it shows her high-heel silver shoes as well] and singing.
Later, we can see all the band members and Sophie in the roof of a building. The video keeps like that: Sophie and the band. In the end of it,
Sophie walks away.
Extras: This videos was the least known by theaudience because it didn't leak onto internet until late in 2007. It was shot
overlooking The Isle Of Dogs, in London. The building is Number One Canada Square, often called The Canary Wharf Tower.
