Below is the letter from Dean and Nyge, in which they talk about theaudience's second album. This was taken from Aled's theaudience
fansite, which is now closed.
Hi, Aled
Dean and Nyge here just taking a break from writing at pmffland to have a quick browse at the page. We have recorded two tracks with Stephen Street
but he has not done any co-writing with us. The two tracks in question were "The Greatest Gift", which was written by Dean and Nyge, with words by Nyge,
Dean and Sophie.
Nigel produced this track with additional production by Stephen Street.
The second track recorded with Stephen is called
"Day Or Night" which is written by Nyge, Dean and Sophie.
Dean and Nyge have co-wrote a few songs for possible inclusion on theaudience's new
album. The songs finished so far include "Grey With Dusty Rain", "King Of Action" and "The Fool Will Rise Again". Songs that Nigel has put forward for
inclusion on the album include "Repetition Kills", and "Headcase" which was written with Ray Hedges and assisted by Patch on lyrics. Songs that Dean has
put forward include "Two Way", ""Out With The Old school" (lyrics by Dean and Kerin), "Cookie Jar" (lyrics by Dean and Patch).
Songs that Kerin has put forward are "Maybe I Was Wrong" and "World".
Sophie has been co-writing with Youth (called "The Last Time"), and with her
boyfriend Andy (songs include "So Clever" and "Twilight Of The Teenage").

So as you can see, we haven't exactly been sitting idle for the past 12 months!
Currently, we're sorting out the logistics to continue with the
album proper possibly with Dave Bascombe.
We were happy with Stephen Street but he's busy at the moment. Nyge and Dean are currently working
on demo's which we'll continue with alongside any future recordings, which reminds us both that we really should be getting back to the
writing!
Anyway, we enjoyed your site. Thanks for your input. It's much appreciated.
